Made to replace the stock Bing carbs on 1972-75 400 and 450 Models
Complete kit consists of everything you need to replace the bing carb on your 1972-1975 husky 400 and 450. This is a bolt on set up and does not require any cutting, welding, fabricating or rigging. After many requests for an easy to install Mikuni conversion, this kit is now available. The Mikuni carb is known for its precise fuel metering capabilities and leak proof design. The choke system is also more advanced with the lever rather than the tickler that dumps fuel on the engine. There are many reasons why Husqvarna switched to the Mikuni as original equipment on its later model bikes in 1978. Your bike will start easier and run cleaner with better throttle response, less fouled plugs and fewer load ups. This conversion will take about 30 minutes to install. It comes with the following new parts. (1) 3mm intake gasket, (1) shortened alloy intake, (1) rubber intake hose with (2) clamps, (1) 36mm Mikuni carb, (1) billet mag airbell including rubber sealing ring installed and (3) aluminum mounting straps with alloy spacer. The carb is pre jetted for 1050 feet (320 m) above sea level and should be spot on in the southern USA. This jetting works great here in Atlanta, Georgia. You may need to dial in your own jetting depending on your location and should always test any new set up with a plug reading prior to any long ride or competition. Riding your bike with incorrect jetting can cause engine damage or failure.
